  • Russia beats Holland with 3-1 (1-1 after 90 min.) Dutch coach Guus Hiddink moves on to the semi-finals and will play Spane this Thursday.
  • Holland plays Russia, the team of Dutch coach Guus Hiddink in the quarter finals on Saturday June 21st. Russia won their last game against Sweden with 2-0. 
  • The Dutch National soccer team beat the 2 finalist of the 2006 World Cup in one week and Qualify for the quarter finals! Monday June 9th the Dutch beat Italy with 3-0 and Friday June 13th (Friday the 13th) they beat France with 4-1! A great achievement by the team of head coach Marco van Basten. Tuesday June 17th Holland plays Romania. Except the Dutch coach Marco van Basten (former player of AJAX, Amsterdam, AC Milan and the Dutch national team) who has been the head coach of the Dutch National team the past 3,5 years, there will be 2 more Dutch coaches at the UEFA Euro 2008 with their National teams: Guus Hiddink, head coach of the Russian National team and Leo Beenhakker, head coach of the Polish National team will support the Dutch proud this summer in Austria and Zwitzerland.
  • Holland U21 European Champion 2007!! (Qualified for the Olympic games of 2008 in Bejing, China). Holland defeated Serbia in the final, 4-1. Holland also defeated England, Portugal, Israel and tied against Belgium.
  • Holland U23 European Champion 2006. In 2006 Holland U23 were crowned as European Champions as well. Holland has one of the best youth programs in the world!
